Hello all! This is Daniel Pascoe (I met some of you at the first Focus Group meeting). I am so excited to be getting involved with Future Leaders For Peace! This is a great opportunity to start making some REAL change and having a positive impact on the world around us. It starts WITH US!

So, I have an idea for how we can start to implement some change, person by person, and do it in a very hands on/tangible way so that we can see our results- as well as share them with each other! I thought we could start by each doing at least one "Random Act of Kindness" (anyone seen Evan Almighty?). I encourage everyone willing to do a very tangible random act of kindness for someone, such as buying the person behind you in line a cup of coffee, and then observe the results and have them ready to share. For example, the evening after the first Focus Group meeting, I was driving home to Marin and decided to pay the bridge toll for the person in the car behind me. When they pulled up to the toll booth, the toll man waved them through, but they did not understand and stopped anyway. The toll man kept motioning them to move on through, but they remained stopped and then held money out the window to the toll man. The toll man then started talking to them and it looked like he was explaining what had happened. They then finally started to move slowly through the booth area and continued on their journey. I watched this scene in my review and side mirror and laughed with joy and a feeling of giving that surpassed anything I could have imagined. I truly felt like I had done something in the smallest way that had a HUGE impact on someone's life that day- and like it was something that gave our world just a little bit more hope and love...I continue to do such acts on a regular basis! :) And I feel wonderful every time!!! :) Yay!!! hahahaha

So you all think you're up for it?! I hope so! And I hope to see and/or hear your stories soon!

Cheers,

Daniel :)
